The Venue is now firmly established as a destination in its own right, Indie went massive and every tom, dick and cheesy club jumped on the bandwagon. But none of this stopped 42s from selling out virtually every weekend, not forgetting the all-nighters and, obviously, New Years Eve.

Weve been around for donkeys and we originally got into this out of a love of music and that indefinable atmosphere you only ever find in a good club, run by clubbers for clubbers. So we like to think we know what were doing, i.e. reasonably priced drinks plus great tunes in a friendly atmosphere equal a great night out (all the fun without the compromise).

But just because weve been around for a bit doesnt mean we havent got our feet firmly planted in the future. We know, as the credit crunch hits, that every club will be claiming to be the cheapest around throwing out the silliest drinks offers. But we believe cheap doesnt necessarily equal a great night out. Remember when some of these same clubs wacked up the drinks prices on New Years Eve. Not our idea of appreciating your customers. We believe we still offer the best value for your clubbing pound all year round and many of the e-mails weve received so far this year have commented on the great value we were on NYE.

So thanks to everyone that made it down over the last year and helped keep us on top of the pile, heres to the coming year!
